Dobhan Khola Hydropower Project is a run-of-river type project located in Dharche Village Municipality, Province No. 4, within the Central Development Region of Nepal. The project is being developed by Upper Syange Hydropower Limited – a subsidiary of Kriti Venture Fund Ltd. Dobhan Khola serves as the water source for the project. It converges with the Budhi Gandaki River at the Dobhan village, approximately 4.5 kilometers downstream from the intake site of the project.
The project development process is well underway, with the Project Company having obtained the survey license necessary for the construction phase. A team of engineers, hydrologists, and geologists have conducted a comprehensive field visit to conduct the feasibility study. These assessments are crucial in determining the technical viability and suitability of the site for hydropower generation.
The Dobhan Khola Hydropower Project, with its proposed capacity of 24.5 MW, is expected to contribute significantly to the generation of clean and sustainable energy in Nepal. The project will contribute to the country’s growing energy needs and promote economic development while maintaining an environmentally responsible approach.
Due to the success of Upper Syange Hydropower, founder Mr Bir Bahadur Ghale and TEAM Ventures are continuing the partnership by making an investment during the planning stages and having our advisory group as part of the planning, construction, and implementation of the project.
